Holmes Inc. - A Fit To Print Comic Experience 
First off, these are all pretty well executed, so kudos. I honestly didn’t realize Elizabeth was so buff. Is she really that buff? I better go re-read the character bible, but I imagined her being toned but not so built. I can go with it though. I love her socks/boots. They’re a nice touch. I’m not crazy about the shoulder pads. I’d say the knee pads, too, but they kind of make the boots. The overall outfit is well designed. I like the piping, especially over the chest. It does remind me some of the recent X-Men and SWORD designs, and while that’s perfectly fine, I do wonder if that’s what we’re after. If it is, then fabulous, because this works!
I agree with Adam I thought she would be designed more svelt more like a swimmer. Well drawn though love the suit. Will this be the one we use for the rest of the group with the obvious variations?

It would kind of make sense for her to be buff, if she’s an M.E. I can’t imagine that a forensics kit is exactly light to carry around, having lifted a paramedics kit. And the knee pads would make sense too, since she’d be kneeling on the ground around potentially icky and/or sharp stuff.
I kinda agree on the shoulder pads though. They take a little away from the otherwise modern awesomeness of the outfit.
My cousin is a paramedic and while fit and toned, she’s still petite. I don’t mind her looking toned and athletic, but here her size is actually attention-grabbing.
Very cool indeed, although i wonder if there are alternate outfits for her, more business-like perhaps. A shirt and skirt, or something. I like the hair for sure, and the stern look is just what i thought she’d be expressing most of the time. I’m grooving the jumpsuit though. Well done.
The boots remind me of Taarna from the first Heavy Metal movie! 🙂
As long as there is a difference between Elizabeth and Trey, I love her being a bit more buff. If she’s svelte and Trey is svelte then we’re not taking full advantage of the possibilities inherent in different female shapes.
I remembered why I had drawn her with a sleeveless vest in my design. It was because she starts on a beach in hot weather in my story so I figured she could have a more comfortable (ie. cooler) action vest for that scene.
I think I agree with taking out the shoulder pads. Simply having well defined shoulders is enough. Adding pads to them makes her look a little too bulky. And Rae’s comments on the knee pads being handy for all that kneeling are an excellent point.
i definitely her suit is more for action and she has other clothes for less active work. She’s a modern career woman who dresses for the occassion.
I do dig the barely controlled mane. Nince look. I see her as kind of a Marge Hellenberger from the original CSI. Comfortable in ability but still somehting to prove. The hair kind of fighting to be free is a nice visual way to help sell that she thinks she has to work a little harder than the others.
Thanks for the imput gang. I will try a more svelt liz. My main thought was to visually distingush her from trey, who is petite. Chris what is your take on the shoulder pads since this was from your design. Maybe I was to overzealous with the size of pads?
I don’t mind her a little bigger than Trey. She’s got almost twice her age, and the woman IS from Texas. HOWEVER, her size is something for everyone to interpret as they draw the character. These turnarounds are to get everyone starting at the same place, and making the characters recognizable all around, but no two artists are going to draw her EXACTLY the same anyway. So, my take is, Elizabeth IS taller than Trey, and probably has about thirty pounds on the petite teenager. Which means Trey is about 95 pounds, and Elizabeth is about 125. 125 pounds at 5 foot 10 is still a lovely looking woman, she just has a hint of muscle on dem bones. All good.
I love the hair, and the expression on her face, and agree with the team that the shoulder pads are a tad too large. The rest is BANG ON!

I like it. I’m going to have her a little ‘Danger girl’ ish in my story. Not too buff, and not too petitie. She’s built for action!
